Irene's Meatballs - Appetizer



Meatball recipe:

1 egg
1 can 5oz evaporated milk
1 cup quick oats
1/2 cup chopped onions
1-1/2 lb ground beef (I use 1/2 Italian sausage also)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp chili powder
2 cloves garlic
1/4 tsp pepper
Mix together well, shape into 1" balls place on a 9 x 13 pan and bake until done 25-30 minutes uncovered 350 degrees.  these freeze well.

Barbecue sauce:
1 cup catsup  (I used half catsup and barbecue sauce)
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 tsp liquid smoke
2 cloves garlic

Combine ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes - pour over meatballs.
